Frank Tycksen joined Vormetric in October 2011 as senior director of professional services and was recently appointed to the role of vice president of customer success, where he is leading Vormetric’s professional services, technical support and education teams. Key initiatives Tycksen has led at Vormetric include standardizing the company’s service delivery model, formalizing best practices and procedural documentation, and creating a customer training program.
With 28 years of software management and deep technical expertise across the IT spectrum, Tycksen joined Vormetric from RNA Networks (acquired by Dell), where he was VP of Engineering and Operations. He held a similar role at SignaCert (acquired by Harris), where he delivered an appliance-based solution for independent software measurement, verification and control within the enterprise. He also served as CTO of Swan Island Networks and Preview Systems—the latter of which completed a successful IPO in 1999. At Intel Labs, Tycksen led research efforts in the areas of trust and security, and he was also instrumental in the success of several other companies, including Central Point Software (acquired by Symantec). He holds a bachelor’s degree in computer systems engineering from the Oregon Institute of Technology.
